The group offers multi-currency accounts, currency conversion, international transfers and corporate cards. The company says receiving accounts cover 20+ currencies and that multi-currency accounts are available in 60+ countries; the full list is not published. Airwallex (UK) Limited is an electronic money institution authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 900876). It is an EMI, not a bank, and the banking platform is provided with licensed partner banks. Which entity serves a client depends on the country.
Acceptance and orchestration
Airwallex accepts online and in-store card payments, offers a drop-in checkout and orchestrates 160+ local payment methods. It states that merchants can be paid in the buyer's currency and settle without forced FX conversion. Pricing is described as Interchange++ or blended.
