Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) & Legal Counsel

Paysonix is hiring a Chief Compliance Officer who also acts as Legal Counsel, working in Cyprus with regular presence required.

Responsibilities

• Support EMI licensing and liaise with the Central Bank of Cyprus
• Develop AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, sanctions control and transaction monitoring
• Build risk management and internal control and support audits
• Review products and markets
• Handle contracts with banks, acquirers and payment systems
• Form the AML, risk and legal team

Requirements

• 8+ years in compliance or financial law, including 3+ years responsible for the function
• Experience at a licensed EMI or payments company, EU/EEA licensing and dealing with regulators
• A law degree
• English C1/C2
• CBC experience, launching a function from scratch and professional certificates are a plus
