Middle Legal Counsel (Compliance / KYC / AML)

A payments company is hiring a Middle Legal Counsel for compliance, KYC and AML work in Moscow, starting in the office and moving to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Run the first-level review of counterparty documents using international company registers and other open sources
• Work with the security department on counterparty checks
• Work with contractors on in-depth KYB/KYC checks
• Run test purchases to check counterparty websites
• Maintain risk and counterparty document registers
• Prepare contracts with counterparties from different countries, including in English
• Help maintain corporate documentation

Requirements

• Higher education in law
• 1.5+ years as a corporate lawyer, with compliance / AML / KYC (fintech, payments, PSP) preferred
• Knowledge of civil, contract and international law
• Due diligence and KYC/KYB experience
• English B1 or higher
• Confident use of Google Docs, Word and Excel; CRM experience such as Jira is a plus
• iGaming, payment-aggregator or PSP experience is an advantage

Conditions

• Location: Moscow
• Office for the first month, then hybrid with three remote days a week
• 5/2 schedule, flexible start between 9:00 and 11:00
• Three-month probation
• Growth to Senior in 12–18 months
