About the event
The Paypers and Worldline host this 45-minute webinar on 22 October 2026, starting at 05:00 EDT (11:00 Central European time, 02:00 PDT).
The session looks at how banks and payment service providers can defend against new threats while staying compliant. Generative AI is accelerating synthetic identity attacks, authorised push payment (APP) fraud is overtaking card fraud, and passwords and SMS OTPs are no longer enough. Meanwhile PSR/PSD3 shifts fraud liability from consumers to PSPs, and eIDAS 2.0 changes how identity is proven in Europe.
The agenda covers the current fraud landscape (APP fraud, deepfakes, account takeover), preparing for liability shifts, moving to passkeys, biometrics and adaptive friction, and EUDI Wallets and agentic commerce. Speakers include Vilém Dědek of mBank, Mathieu Barthelemy and João Rijo Godinho Courinha of Worldline, with Dr Ruth Wandhöfer moderating.
Who should attend
Fraud, authentication and compliance leads at European banks, PSPs and EMIs preparing for PSD3. The digital identity fraud webinar is especially relevant to teams redesigning SCA flows.
