About the event
FinTech Summit Africa 2027 is the 7th annual edition of the summit, held on 24–25 June 2027 in Sandton, Johannesburg, from 09:00 to 17:00 SAST. Its theme, "Beyond Payments: Building Africa's Trusted, Scalable and Connected Financial Ecosystem", covers the continent's move from payments-led innovation to a broader financial ecosystem. Focus areas include interoperable cross-border payments and PAPSS, open finance, embedded finance and Banking-as-a-Service, agentic AI, alternative credit for SMEs, stablecoins and tokenisation, digital identity, fraud and cybersecurity, and regulatory harmonisation. The summit runs in partnership with the Startup World Cup.
Who should attend Fintech founders, banks, PSPs and regulators working in Africa, especially teams building cross-border rails, open finance APIs or identity and fraud tooling. Startups can join the Startup World Cup pitch track.
