About
Fintech Norway is the fintech industry association of Norway, established in 2020. It lobbies for favourable regulation for fintechs in payments, insurance, crowdfunding and crypto, and represents members to regulators, politicians and the wider ecosystem. The site lists around 35 member companies and 7 partner organisations.
Topics
Discussion centres on PSD2 and PSD3, AML and KYC, eID, CBDC, DORA and crowdfunding rules. The association keeps contact with the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Norwegian Competition Authority, the Data Authority and the Consumer Authority, and has set up forums with supervisors. It says it accelerated PSD2 work in Norway by one to two years, and it merged with the Norwegian Crowdfunding Association.
People
Secretary General Daniel Isdal Furset runs the secretariat; Alf Gunnar Andersen chairs the board. The association belongs to the European Digital Finance Association network.
News
The site carries consultation responses, for example one to the Ministry of Finance on open banking dated April 2025, with the latest listed items from September 2026.
