About
The FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK), tagline "FinTech Amplified", is the professional body for Hong Kong's fintech ecosystem. Its work runs through seven committees: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain & Digital Assets, Digital Banking & Payments, RegTech, Sustainability & Green FinTech, Wealth & InvestTech and InsurTech, and Quantum Computing & Cybersecurity.
Recent news
On 14 October 2026 the association appointed Michele Fung as its new board chair. Earlier items include interviews with Hadrien de Cournon of RAISE Summit (30 June) and Hui Jackson of Accenture on FinTech Innovation Lab APAC 2026 (13 April), and a position paper on a responsible AI roadmap for Hong Kong financial services (2 April).
Events
The calendar lists a 22 October session on how fintech is reshaping access to private markets in wealth, and a 27 October session titled "Two Sides of a Different Coin", on tokenised deposits and stablecoins.
Why payments people look at it
The Digital Banking & Payments committee page is the place to see who leads payment work locally. The stablecoin and tokenised deposit sessions matter to PSPs and acquirers dealing with Hong Kong licensing, and the board changes show who speaks for the sector with the HKMA and other regulators.
Payments angle
Has a dedicated Digital Banking & Payments committee and events on tokenised deposits and stablecoins relevant to Hong Kong payment firms.
