AFEPAME

AFEPAME payment association is the French trade body for payment institutions and electronic money institutions, plus the newer fintech firms working under French licences. It speaks for the sector in front of French authorities and gives members a place to meet peers.

What the association does The website is organised around news (actualités), an events agenda and a mediation page. Consumer mediation for the sector runs through a dedicated external service, Avenir Conso, so members can route customer disputes to a recognised mediator instead of building one themselves. The association also organises networking events and takes part in consultations on payment and e-money rules.

Who it suits A PSP or EMI that holds a French licence, or is applying for one, gets regulatory updates and peer contacts in one place. The site is in French with an English version. Membership is requested through the contact form, and the terms are not published.
