About the event
APP Coffee Connect: Underwriters is a casual 45-minute virtual meet-up for merchant underwriting professionals on Thursday, 12 November 2026, from 9:00 to 9:45 am Pacific time. The Association of Payment Professionals added more sessions after the first editions filled up with questions.
It is explicitly not a webinar: attendees swap stories, share challenges and compare notes (including the most outrageous fake documents they have seen), while friendly APP volunteers help get the conversation going. Coffee Connect launched in 2025 as a member benefit, inspired by the coffee-and-donuts gatherings of APP's founders before each annual conference.
Who should attend Underwriters and risk analysts at acquirers, ISOs, payment facilitators and PSPs, whether new to the job or seasoned. It is a low-key way to build a peer network for merchant onboarding, KYB and document fraud questions; this underwriters coffee connect is open to newcomers and veterans alike.
