Paxos

Overview

Paxos is a regulated blockchain infrastructure provider for enterprises, founded in 2012 with offices in New York, Singapore and the UAE. Its US entity, Paxos Trust Company, National Association, holds OCC charter 25379. Other group entities carry MAS and EU permissions.

Stablecoins

The core offer is white-label stablecoin issuance with mint and redeem, and stablecoin payments. According to the company, Paxos is the technology issuer behind PayPal USD (PYUSD) and also operates USDP and USDG. Settlement services link issuance to partners' payment flows.

Brokerage and custody

Paxos supplies crypto brokerage infrastructure through an API, along with institutional custody and wallets. Clients include enterprises, brokerages, fintechs, banks and stablecoin or payment businesses.

Regulation and scope

The regulator confirms the national trust bank as active. Activity is limited to trust-bank custody, issuance and settlement; the data does not confirm general fiat operating accounts for crypto businesses. Group licences are held separately: NYDFS in the United States, MAS in Singapore, FSRA in the UAE and MiCA coverage in Finland. The entity that serves a client depends on the product and region.
