Overview
Creditreform is an international group in credit information and debt collection that works through national companies and local specialists. Rather than a single office, it operates as a network, and the profile does not tie it to one country.
Services
Four services are listed: international debt collection, pre-court collection, court-based collection and credit information. Credit information is used before a sale to assess a buyer, and collection services are used afterwards when an invoice stays unpaid. Combining both under one name can make it easier for a supplier to follow a debtor from risk check to recovery.
Network model
The group states that recovery is carried out by local members who know the language and legal procedure of the debtor's country. That is often more practical for cross-border claims than a single foreign agency, although the countries and the member contact in each of them need to be checked for a specific case.
Who it suits
Exporters, payment businesses with international merchants, and trading firms that sell on credit to foreign buyers can use the network for risk checks and recovery. Fee levels and reporting terms are not published.
