Overview
Paycrest routes two-way exchange between stablecoins and local currencies through a network of independent liquidity providers. It uses on-chain escrow and a Sender API, and is B2B infrastructure for verified companies, not a consumer P2P exchange.
Model
The protocol is non-custodial: escrow sits on-chain and fiat is controlled by the liquidity provider. Senders and providers are KYB-verified wallets, fintechs, exchanges, DeFi protocols and liquidity providers, and orders are screened for sanctions. Participants own their customer and local obligations.
Coverage
Assets are USDT, USDC and cNGN, and fiat currencies are NGN, KES, UGX and TZS. Supported networks include Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum One, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, Celo, Starknet, Tron and Solana.
Fees and speed
The company states zero sender fee. Pricing is the live provider rate plus a transaction fee and an optional sender fee. Settlement is shown as about 30 seconds, which is an indication, not a contractual SLA.
Use cases
On/off-ramp, B2B settlement and payroll through local bank or mobile-money systems. API documentation and a sender integration guide are published.
