Pismo

Pismo is a cloud technology platform for core banking, card issuing and card processing. It is classified as an issuer processor and a financial infrastructure provider.

Platform

The listed services are core banking, issuer processing and card management. A bank, a fintech or a software platform can run accounts and cards on the platform instead of operating its own core system and processing stack.

Customers

The published target segments are businesses and enterprises and software platforms. This describes the intended audience, and it is not a promise that every applicant will be accepted.

Reading the role

Pismo supplies technology, not deposits. Its products should not be considered bank deposits, and the BINs used in customer programmes should not be assigned to Pismo by default. The issuing bank, the BIN sponsor and the card network membership are fixed in each programme.

Before choosing

A team evaluating Pismo should clarify the deployment model, the countries and currencies that can be served, integration effort with existing systems and how pricing is built, since none of this is published in detail. A bank-sponsor arrangement is a separate question from the technology contract.
