Overview

Associated Bank, National Association, is a US bank that offers three business checking accounts: Business Access Checking, Business Balanced Checking and Business Choice Checking. Account holders get a Mastercard debit card, online banking and cash deposits.

Business Access Checking This is the entry account for businesses with a small number of transactions. It carries no service fee and no minimum balance, includes 50 transactions a month and needs a $100 opening deposit. Digital banking is part of the package, so routine payments and balance checks can be done online.

Balanced and Choice The two upgraded accounts are meant for higher activity. The material does not list their fees or transaction allowances, which should be taken from the current tariff. Businesses that expect to exceed 50 entries a month should compare how each account charges for extra items before opening.

Deposit protection The bank states that it is a member of the FDIC. Statutory coverage limits, ownership categories and eligibility rules apply to deposits.

Who it suits The Access account fits start-ups, consultants and small shops with limited activity. Growing companies can move to a higher tier as volume rises.
