Payments Innovation Forum (PIF)

Payments Innovation Forum, known as PIF, describes itself as the not-for-profit membership organisation and industry body for payments. It is managed by White Fuse and based at Paul Street in London, and exists to share knowledge among very different members and help shape a safer, smarter payments future.

Working groups and events PIF runs working groups and workstreams, with the Legal and Regulatory Working Group front and centre: sessions are listed for 28 October and 19 November 2026. The calendar also includes the Payments Awards 2026 on 12 November and a Winter Networking Reception on 26 November.

In the news feed October 2026 announcements picked up by the site include Mastercard and NatWest on student fraud prevention, Barclaycard and Visa launching a unified checkout service, and Mastercard's work on agentic commerce.

Who it is for Compliance leads, PSP and acquirer executives and fintech founders in the UK market can use the working groups to hear regulatory changes explained by practitioners and to meet counterparties. The site is in English and aimed at members and prospective members.
