The Taxi Payments partner program is for anyone who can bring UK taxi drivers to card acceptance. The partner recommends the service, and Taxi Payments processes applications and sets drivers up itself.
Who is wanted - partners in contact with drivers; - taxi networks; - private hire networks, which handle pre-booked journeys.
How it works 1. The partner passes on a driver's details. 2. Taxi Payments processes the application. 3. The company sets the driver up to accept cards. 4. After successful onboarding the partner earns commission.
Terms Commission is paid for each eligible referral, meaning a driver who meets the program criteria and is successfully onboarded. The amount and eligibility rules follow the terms agreed with the partner.
Why it is in demand Passengers increasingly pay by card or phone, and cash-only drivers lose fares. For taxi networks and dispatch services, the program is a way to help their drivers and be rewarded for it. The partner does not need to deal with terminals or setup, as Taxi Payments handles the technical side.
