개요
Public Bank is a Malaysian bank whose offering covers merchant acquiring and business bank accounts. Through the acquiring service, a company accepts card payments by working directly with the bank rather than through an intermediary.
Business accounts The bank offers ACE Enterprise, an interest-bearing current account for businesses, corporations and associations. The range also includes foreign-currency current accounts, and enquiries from small and medium enterprises are handled by a separate SME Helpdesk. Account holders can be sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporate entities, associations, clubs and societies.
How bank acquiring differs from a PSP - The contract is with the bank itself, not an aggregator. - Revenue lands in the company's account, usually at the same bank. - Requirements tend to be stricter: the bank reviews registration, finances and line of business.
In return, the business gets a direct relationship with the acquirer and fewer links in the settlement chain.
Who it suits Companies registered and operating in Malaysia, retail chains and services that already bank there, and businesses that value a stable banking partner over speed of onboarding.
Legal entity Public Bank Berhad. Acquiring rates, settlement times and equipment costs are set when the bank reviews an application, based on turnover and industry.
