개요
MTN MoMo is a mobile money service in Ghana. Users send and receive transfers, pay bills and receive money from abroad via the app and their phone, while cash deposits and withdrawals are handled by registered agents and service centres.

For a business this means direct reach to a mass audience: in Ghana mobile money often stands in for a bank account, and many buyers prefer to pay this way.
Channels
The service runs through a mobile app and an agent network. Agents solve the last mile: a customer deposits cash at a nearby point and can pay online straight away.
Fees
There is no monthly fee for using the wallet. Transfer charges depend on the transaction and are not broken down in public materials, so check them for your use case.
Regulation
The operator is MobileMoney LTD. It is listed in the Bank of Ghana register as a Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer, and the register notes it has special permission to keep operating while its licence application is completed.
