KSNET is a payment processing company in the South Korean market. It processes merchants' payment transactions and connects them with the country's banks and payment networks.
The processor's role in Korea
The Korean payment system is largely closed to outside players: buyers use local cards, and banks work through national intermediaries. Processing companies like this one receive data from terminals and online checkouts, route it for authorisation and handle settlement. For a merchant this is a single point of connection instead of contracts with each issuer.
