개요
Japan Merchant Services (JMS) is a payment services provider working with local businesses. The company connects stores and online shops to accept bank cards and electronic money.
Payment methods
- Bank cards.
- Electronic money: prepaid payment instruments that shoppers there widely use in retail, transport and restaurants.
Together, cards and e-money cover most cashless payments made by local customers.
Payouts
Two schedules are published:
- standard: twice a month;
- accelerated: up to six times a month.
The accelerated cycle is available on request and under separate terms. It helps high-volume, low-margin businesses get cash back into circulation faster.
Coverage
JMS serves its home market only. Companies based abroad should check in advance the requirements for the legal entity and the bank account receiving funds.
Pricing
JMS shares card and e-money fees while reviewing an application. The rate usually depends on the business type, volume and chosen payout schedule.
