Hong Leong Bank is a Malaysian bank, operating as Hong Leong Bank Berhad, that provides merchant acquiring and business accounts to companies in Malaysia. Merchants accept payment by bank card, including contactless.
Acceptance products - POS terminals and mPOS; - Tap on Phone; - e-commerce payments; - business bank accounts, including the PrimeBiz current account for SSM-registered enterprises, with online opening highlighted for Sdn Bhd and sole proprietorships.
Payment methods - cards: classic acceptance at the point of sale; - contactless: the shopper taps a card or phone on the device, and the transaction goes through in seconds without manual entry.

Bank acquiring Unlike a payment aggregator, an acquiring bank signs the merchant directly and credits the takings to its account itself. This usually means stricter document requirements at onboarding, but also a direct relationship with the bank that holds the money. The bank publishes a minimum initial deposit and a list of company documents for account opening, and terms differ by entity and market.
