French rental marketplace seeks an alternative to Stripe Connect

The team behind a short-term rental marketplace in France has hit the limits of Stripe Connect and is looking for another provider. The request was published in February 2026; the product is still being built, and the French registration is stated by the author.
The challenge - take a guest's card payment for a booking, sometimes up to 12 months before arrival; - hold the funds until the stay; - pay the host 2 days after check-in.
The long gap between payment and payout is the hard part: the author sees Stripe Connect's limits on holding funds and on the time between authorisation and capture as the blocker.
