Comgate is a Czech payment gateway founded in 2000 and based in Prague, with a focus on the Czech and Slovak markets and reach into Poland and the EU. According to the company, it covers more than 18,000 online shops.
Products - responsive hosted checkout pages; - instant Czech and Slovak bank buttons and QR Platba; - card payments with Visa and Mastercard, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay; - recurring payments; - support for nine currencies.
For an online store, cards are the baseline method: most buyers carry a Visa or Mastercard, and the shopper enters card details at checkout while the provider authorises the payment and credits the merchant. Local bank buttons add the pay-by-bank option that Czech and Slovak buyers are used to.
Pricing The company states rates from 0.79% per transaction; the final price depends on business type and volume and is set in the merchant agreement.
