परिचय
Bangkok Bank is a Thai bank that provides companies with merchant acquiring through Merchant iPay. The operator is Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. Merchants accept card payments on websites and in mobile apps and receive proceeds in an account at the same bank.

- business bank accounts.
Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, JCB and TPN cards are supported, with payment in baht or foreign currencies. Customer service is available in Thai and English.
Why a bank acquirer
- the settlement account and payment acceptance sit in one institution;
- contracts, limits and paperwork are easier to agree;
- for local companies it is a more familiar route than signing up with a foreign provider.
For a foreign business, working with a local bank may require a legal entity or partner in Thailand, so it is worth clarifying at the start.

- hotels, travel agencies and booking services operating in Thailand;
- retailers that need a banking partner for card acceptance.
Fees, settlement timing and merchant requirements are set by the bank when it reviews the application and opens the merchant account.
