Cross Border Payments Conference 2026

The 7th annual Cross Border Payments Conference, organised by Trade Conferences International (TCI), takes place at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, Gauteng, from 8:00 am on 28 October to 5:00 pm on 29 October 2026.

The programme addresses the challenges, threats and opportunities in South Africa's cross-border payments market. The sector is regulated mainly by the South African Reserve Bank and its Financial Surveillance Department, which balances strict exchange control with demand for faster, more accessible international transactions. Discussion spans correspondent banking and SWIFT, e-commerce and card payments, digital wallets, fintech innovation and emerging stablecoin solutions, as well as regional initiatives such as the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS).
