Connected Banking Summit East Africa 2027

The 26th Connected Banking Summit East Africa — Innovation & Excellence Awards 2027 takes place on 11 March 2027 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi Upper Hill. Organised by the International Center for Strategic Alliances (ICSA), it carries the theme "Driving Digital Banking Evolution and Financial Technology Integration Across East Africa".

The organiser points to a region with deep mobile money penetration that is moving into open finance, real-time payments, intelligent risk management and embedded ecosystems for a 24/7 economy, building on the Central Bank of Kenya's National Payments Strategy. The 2027 focus areas include instant payments, mobile money interoperability, cross-border instant payments, digital identity, AML/KYC modernisation and open-API harmonisation. Banks, regulators, telcos, fintechs and investors meet in a closed, boardroom-level format with an awards ceremony.
