Coffee Connect: Next Gen Leaders (Oct2026 Edition)

Coffee Connect: Next Gen Leaders is a relaxed 30-minute virtual meet-up from the Association of Payment Professionals (APP), held on Zoom on 29 October 2026 from 9:00 to 9:30 AM Pacific time (PDT).

The session is aimed at people early in their payments careers. Friendly APP volunteers guide the conversation, a few seasoned leaders join to answer questions and talk about how they built their careers, and a career development expert offers practical advice. It is not a formal presentation: the point is to meet peers, swap stories and build a professional network. The first editions proved popular enough for APP to turn the format into a series.

Coffee Connect launched in 2025 as an APP member benefit, building on the coffee-and-donuts meet-up the association has long hosted before its annual conference.

Who should attend

Junior analysts, underwriters, risk and operations staff and sales newcomers at acquirers, ISOs, PSPs and payment facilitators. This payments career meetup is a low-pressure way to find mentors inside the industry. Seats are limited (19 remained at the time of checking).
