Turnkey is low-level infrastructure for programmable crypto wallets and transaction signing inside secure enclaves (AWS Nitro Enclaves). It was founded in 2022 and is based in New York.

Products The listed items are an Embedded Wallets API, signing latency under 100 ms, a programmable policy engine, passkeys and multi-chain support. The company says it generates and signs millions of wallets in milliseconds.

Background Turnkey states that it was founded by the creators of Coinbase Custody.

Customers and terms Target clients are fintechs, crypto apps, trading terminals, AI agents and payment platforms. Coverage is global. Pricing is pay-as-you-go by number of signatures, or an enterprise plan.

The policy engine is the feature that matters to payment operators: rules can limit which transactions a key may approve, so that automated payouts can be signed without a person confirming each one. Security reviews should cover the enclave model, key recovery paths and who can change the policy.
