개요
Platron is a merchant payment gateway that sits between an online store and the banks. It connects the seller with settlement banks and acquirers, so the business does not have to integrate with each of them separately.
How the gateway works
When a shopper pays for an order, the gateway routes the transaction to the right acquirer, receives the response and passes the result back to the store. For the merchant this means one technical integration instead of several contracts and APIs. A business with more than one partner bank can also spread payments across them and avoid depending on a single acquirer.
Who it is for
Platron targets online merchants: e-commerce stores, services that take payment on their website and digital products. The setup is especially handy for companies that already bank with a partner and want to plug it in through ready-made infrastructure instead of building the integration from scratch.
