The Payments in the Channel partner program is designed for companies that already provide IT, accounting or consulting services to businesses. They are invited to add payment acceptance, collection and management to their offering.
Who is invited - MSPs, managed IT service providers; - VARs, value-added resellers; - developers; - consultants and accountants; - agencies; - payment specialists.
What the reseller gets - recurring commission on clients' eligible payment activity; - product training; - certification; - deal registration that locks a client to the partner.
How it works The partner offers payment services to clients as part of an existing service. Deal registration protects the partner if the same client turns up through another channel. Commission applies only to eligible activity; which transactions count is set out in the agreement.
Who it suits The model fits firms with long contracts: an accountant or MSP works with the same clients for years, and their payment volume becomes a steady extra income line. The program does not specify countries.
