개요
Kotak Mahindra Bank is an Indian bank that offers payment infrastructure and merchant acquiring. This is a bank-level solution rather than a third-party aggregator, and the bank also provides escrow for corporate deals.
Corporate channels - host-to-host: the company's ERP or accounting system exchanges payment files directly with the bank, suiting bulk payouts to suppliers and employees without manual uploads; - API payments: initiating and tracking payments from your own application in real time; - UPI: India's national instant payment system, which lets customers pay from a smartphone by account number, QR code or virtual address.
Host-to-host and API integration usually require a current account with the bank and a technical project on the client side.
Merchant acquiring and POS The bank publishes a separate merchant acquiring tariff effective 1 April 2025. For GPRS, Android and mPOS terminals, annual maintenance is INR 1,000 per TID and the transaction service charge is INR 1 per transaction, with extra charges for low throughput or lost terminals. Settlement is T+1 into a Kotak current account, 365 days a year, with optional chargeable same-day cycles. New customers provide KYC and a six-month bank statement.
Escrow Escrow covers M&A, open offers, buybacks and dividends.
