The team behind an Indian SaaS product is designing a payment flow for its users and wants one provider to cover all of it. The request was published in October 2026.
How the flow should work 1. The user tops up a balance in US dollars via UPI or a bank card. 2. Funds sit in a prepaid balance held by the provider, not by the SaaS itself. 3. Virtual cards are issued from that balance, and the user pays external services with them.
Functions needed - UPI and card acceptance; - USD balances and currency conversion (FX); - refunds; - virtual card issuing.
Who should respond A standard PSP is not enough here: the flow needs custodial wallets and card issuing. It makes sense for providers with their own wallet product and an issuing partner, or for a PSP teamed with an issuing platform.
Scale and geography Users are in India, and the services they pay for are worldwide. The scheme is still at the design stage: the $10 balance example in the post shows the mechanics, not business volume. A provider should ask for a turnover forecast and confirm that its authorised wallet and card partners support exactly this funds flow.
