Indian company Supertech buys, refurbishes and resells phones and laptops and needs a gateway for refurbished electronics. Cashfree declined to onboard it, and the author finds the current Razorpay setup too expensive. The request was posted in February 2026.
Situation
- the store is live and already takes payments via its current gateway;
- Cashfree confirmed the category is unsupported;
- Razorpay pricing is a concern.
Reselling used electronics is a higher-risk category: providers worry about stolen devices and disputes over item condition. Documents proving where devices come from therefore matter for onboarding.

What to clarify
The legal entity, device paperwork, MCC, volume, average ticket and target fees. Underwriting must not be bypassed; only a provider that officially accepts this category can onboard the store. Volume is unknown, the website was not verified and the search should be confirmed as current.
