HardBlock is an Australian Bitcoin service, founded in 2014, that sells and buys BTC for Australian dollars and supports withdrawal to the customer's own wallet.
Funding and pricing
Deposits come by PayID or EFT. AUD deposits and withdrawals are free according to the site. HardBlock states that it charges a 0% trading fee but includes a 0.9% premium in the quoted price. Bitcoin withdrawals carry the current network fee, while Lightning sends and receipts cost 0.3%.
Accounts and verification
Accounts are custodial, and withdrawals to a self-custodial wallet are supported. Identity verification is required before Bitcoin exchange, fiat funding, and purchases or sales. Beyond individuals, the service opens accounts for companies, trusts and self-managed super funds (SMSF).
