CoinSwitch is an Indian application for buying and selling cryptocurrencies, founded in 2017 and part of PeepalCo. The terms describe a crypto custodial wallet, and settlements are in Indian rupees.
Service The platform works as a crypto exchange for retail users, with INR as the fiat currency. Because the wallet is custodial, assets are held by the platform on behalf of the customer, which is relevant for anyone assessing counterparty exposure.
Registration and office The company website states that it is registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of India. The official website publishes the postal address and a support email, and the office listed is at the RMZ Millenia Business Park in Perungudi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The registration status is the company's own claim and can be confirmed with the authority.
What to confirm The data gives no list of assets, fees, limits, payment methods or the exact legal entity. Teams evaluating CoinSwitch for INR flows should request these terms, and ask which group company contracts with the user, before routing volume through it.
