Metaco

Metaco is a custody orchestration and tokenisation platform, Harmonize, positioned as the flagship system for the world's largest banks. It was acquired by Ripple for 250 million USD and now operates as Ripple Custody. Founded in 2015, it is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a presence in the United States.

Products

Harmonize covers custody orchestration, a policy engine, tokenisation, smart contract management and on-premise HSM and MPC options. Key management can therefore stay inside the bank's own infrastructure.

Clients

The listed target group is Tier-1 global banks, with Citibank, HSBC, BBVA, BNP Paribas, DZ Bank and Standard Chartered named. The company describes the platform as the number one standard among systemically important banks for launching their own crypto custody. Coverage is global.

Terms

The model is an enterprise banking licence agreement. Pricing is not published, and deployment is a project with the bank's technology and security teams, so scope, assets supported and timelines should be agreed with the vendor.
