AmPay offers acceptance through Open Banking in Europe, taking payments straight from the buyer's account via their online bank. The terms were published in November 2025 and cover EU countries.
How it works The buyer selects their bank, approves the payment in the banking app and the money moves as a transfer with no card details entered. For merchants that means fewer declines caused by card restrictions and usually lower fraud risk.
Pricing - pay-in: 12–4.4%; - settlement: 1%; - chargeback: 50 EUR per case.
Settlement and reserve - t+5 cycle, funds arrive on day five; - rolling reserve: 10% for 180 days.
Limits A single payment runs from 10 to 5,000.
Worth noting The long cycle combined with the reserve keeps a noticeable share of turnover out of reach for a while. A chargeback fee is unusual for Open Banking, so ask which disputes it covers. Also confirm which EU countries and banks the route supports.
