Banco de Chile

Banco de Chile is a Chilean bank that offers business accounts, business debit cards and the Mi Banconexión online banking service. Two account options are described: the Cuenta Corriente Empresas and the Cuenta FAN Emprende.

Cuenta Corriente Empresas This is the full corporate current account. The base monthly fee is 1.6 UF, with waiver conditions available to new clients. It is the product for companies that need the complete corporate package, including cheques and online administration of payments.

Cuenta FAN Emprende FAN Emprende is a cuenta vista, a sight account, with no monthly maintenance fee for eligible entrepreneurs and legal entities. It is not the same tariff as the full corporate package, so a business choosing it should check which functions are included. Cuenta vista accounts are generally simpler than current accounts and do not come with the same set of facilities.

Choosing between them A small business or sole trader with modest needs can start with FAN Emprende and avoid the fee. A company with higher payment volumes, payroll or supplier flows will usually need the corporate current account. Eligibility rules, debit-card charges and other fees are not given in the material and should be confirmed with the bank.
