PayPal Community forum is the peer-to-peer help forum run by PayPal, where members ask each other questions, share experience and, in many threads, get answers from PayPal staff identified by the company logo next to their name.

Boards The forum is organised into topic areas such as account management and REST APIs, with merchant threads next to technical ones. Topics include accepting PayPal as a merchant, account restrictions and marketplace payments, and the audience is global and multilingual.

Example threads One public REST APIs thread asks how to collect fees from sellers in a marketplace app and received a response from PayPal and Braintree staff in March 2023. Another, dated 3 October 2024, asks whether a merchant ID is issued to all users or only to business accounts.

Why payments people read it It is a vendor forum, so it speaks for one provider only, but that is exactly its use: a developer building a marketplace payout flow, or a merchant facing a limited account, can check how similar cases were handled and what staff answered.
