International Bank Services is a company providing merchant payment services and a payment gateway. Its clients include high-risk merchants — the businesses that find it hardest to get acquiring from a bank directly.
What merchant services usually cover
Such a package typically has two parts:
- a payment gateway — the technical connection of a checkout form on the website and passing transactions to the bank;
- merchant support — finding an acquiring bank, preparing documents and helping meet card scheme requirements.
High-risk
Banks assign high-risk status by industry, sales model or payment history: for example, subscriptions, prepayment for future services or high refund rates. An intermediary that specialises in such clients usually knows which banks will take a given vertical and helps the merchant pass review.
Onboarding
Each project is reviewed individually and approval is not guaranteed in advance. Countries, payment methods, fees and reserves are not stated on the card. To get a concrete offer, prepare a description of the business, expected volume, average ticket and, if available, past processing statistics.
