Resumen
InstaPago is a Venezuelan payment gateway that authorises merchant transactions and passes their data to the bank. It covers both online acceptance and in-store payments, from a checkout terminal to integration with point-of-sale software.
What the gateway does
- Authorises the merchant's card transactions.
- Sends transaction data to the bank for settlement.
- Supports POS terminals and PIN pads — external keypads for entering a PIN.
- Produces payment reports for reconciliation.

Onboarding
The POS solution requires a business account at one of InstaPago's partner banks, since transaction funds are settled there. If the business already banks with one of them, connecting is easier.

The list of partner banks, fees and settlement times are not given on the card. It is also worth asking which till software the integration supports.
