Resumen
iKhokha is a payment aggregator and PSP that sets up card acceptance in store and online. Its published pricing applies to South Africa, and its clients are retail and e-commerce businesses.
Pricing in South Africa
- Terminal: from 2.75% excluding VAT, falling to 2.5% as volume grows.
- Online payments: from 2.85% excluding VAT.
VAT is added on top, which is worth keeping in mind when comparing providers.
Settlement
Settlement times depend on the recipient's bank: money arrives at different speeds at different banks. If speed matters to you, check the timing for your own bank.
Aggregator: pros and limits
An aggregator onboards the merchant under its own agreement with the acquirer. That is simpler and faster than opening your own merchant account with a bank and suits small businesses well. The trade-off is that the rate follows a published tariff rather than being negotiated individually, as a large merchant would with a bank.
Who it suits
- shops and service outlets that need a terminal;
- online stores;
- businesses selling both in store and online that want both revenue streams with one provider.
