What to know
The birr is not freely convertible, and getting revenue out of Ethiopia in hard currency is difficult for a foreign business. Settlement in a dollar stablecoin solves this, but the merchant pays for it with a higher settlement fee.
The offer lists iGaming as the vertical and explicitly flags high-risk. It was published in August 2026; the provider names amount limits and minimum volumes during talks.
