Alipay+ (Ant International) onboards acquirers and mobile payment providers through a single program. The aim is to expand cross-border acceptance: shoppers pay with familiar wallets and banking apps, and merchants accept those payments through connected acquirers.
What it covers - acquirer integration; - mobile wallet and banking app acceptance; - QR and NFC payments; - online checkout; - auto debit.
Onboarding steps 1. Signing an NDA. 2. Completing a due diligence questionnaire (DDQ). 3. Technical integration. 4. Acceptance testing.
Terms This is one Alipay+ program covering both the acquirer and the wallet provider tracks, not a separate drive for each payment brand. There is no claim of a coverage gap in a specific country such as China or Korea. Only appropriately authorised institutions can take part. No volume is named; the global scope refers to cross-border merchant acceptance. For an acquirer, joining means its merchants can accept travellers' and foreign shoppers' wallets without separate contracts with each wallet; for a wallet provider, its users can pay at merchants abroad.
