A founder in Pakistan is preparing to launch a global SaaS product or app and is choosing how to handle recurring payments from Pakistan: charging customers worldwide and receiving payouts to a Pakistani bank account. The founder wants a proven provider that can be trusted with subscriptions from day one.
Methods required - monthly and annual subscriptions; - an international checkout for buyers in many countries; - a Merchant of Record model is under consideration.
Under a Merchant of Record setup the provider is the seller of record: it takes the payment, handles sales taxes and refunds, and remits revenue to the developer. For founders in countries with a narrow choice of payment services this is often the fastest route to international sales.
