A personal trainer who works at clients' locations is looking for personal trainer payment processing after Square closed the account. Clients buy long training packages, and payment has to be taken on the spot.
Methods required - manual (keyed) card entry; - physical tap and contactless payments; - phone-based mobile acceptance, with no fixed terminal.
Numbers and history The trainer has taken more than 80 payments since January. One recent package sold for $1,200 — an example, not the average ticket. Twice a card on file was charged by mistake, and both charges were refunded immediately. The reasons for the Square closure are the owner's own account and have not been verified.
What a provider should consider Packages are paid upfront, so underwriting will look at prepaid-service exposure and dispute history. Country, business name and total volume are not disclosed and can be clarified during onboarding. Mobile acquirers and small-business payment apps already serving fitness coaches and appointment-based services are the best fit.
