Monerium

Monerium is an Icelandic electronic money institution that links euro bank accounts to blockchain wallets. Its entity, Monerium hf., is supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland, and the company describes itself as both an EMI and a virtual asset service provider.

What it does Monerium issues and redeems regulated e-money on chain. A business can hold an EUR IBAN and send SEPA transfers, while the matching balance exists as an e-money token (EURe) in a linked wallet on supported blockchain networks. It is on-chain e-money infrastructure, not a bank deposit and not an exchange or unrestricted crypto custody service.

API and partners A corporate API supports the company's own accounts and white-label IBANs for wallet and application partners. Settlement with stablecoins is also used by card issuers. Documentation is public at docs.monerium.com.

Eligibility and currency Customers are legal persons that pass KYB, including businesses, banks and application partners. The currency is EUR only. The company registration number is 5711100240 under the current business terms, and the office is at Kristínargötu 1, Reykjavík.
